Hey, how about a brief synopsis of who, what, and where for those of us who can't view video at work? It's so frustrating when I come across a title that makes me open the thread only to find a video link with no info on it that will make me look it up when I get home.
OK I'm sorry I didn't think about that. A couple of retired mortgage brokers in ca have turned their home into a refuge for unadoptable animals, not just dogs - 22 in the house- but cats, lame horses, pot bellied pigs, geese. They spend upward of $20,000 per month on this rescue and need financial help but the video is not a pitch for them at all. When you get home you must watch it. They started off with french bulldogs I believe. One dog has to be held while being fed, one is isolated in a closet to eat and looks like they are all fed homemade food.
video is called A Chance for Bliss- the names of their first two rescues. I think it is in Santa Barbara.
This is a perfect example of how difficult it can be to save them all. The founders did this for 11 years and it took a toll on them. It is emotionally and financially taxing. I admire them for what they were able to do, but understand how they became overwhelmed.
