I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and a glass door walk in shower with a overhead rain head.

Every time I take a shower they all line up on the bath mat and wait for me. The dogs face outward like they are protecting me and sometimes the cats actually stand on their hind legs and paw at the shower door and cry. It's not like they are going to get kisses like when I'm on the toilet! Are they afraid something is happening to me? does the overhead water flow make too much noise? i never kneew any of them to wait outside the tub/shower in our previous house. I find this behavior quite strange. Does anybody else have this problem?

Lol, I think all dogs and cats are intrigued by our bath time Mine used to do the same thing, maybe they think they are saving you, maybe it is just that they are confused as to human showering (when most of them hate the bath time). My old cat used to follow me to the bathroom and paw at the water falling (yes, she got between the tub and the shower curtain).

My cat will get in between the inner and outer shower curtain and peek in sometimes. My dog will sit at the bathroom door. They have always done it.

My cats do this too...one in particular, while I am in the shower. He gets between shower curtain/liner.

If it's a bath, then all 3 walk in and out of the rm...to "visit" me. One sits on the tub edge or on the closed toilet lid, the entire time...

I love it.

My dog will come into the shower with me, or lick soap off of our legs. It's cute but not too pleasant at the same time.

My dog sits just outside the door whenever anyone is taking a shower. He won't voluntarily set foot IN the bathroom though.

The dog saw Psycho on late night TV. He's just making sure you are OK. He watches for invaders and the cat will call him if you start to go down the drain and need rescue.
