Well depends for each dog. Anywhere from 2-20miles. I break it up sometimes between running and jogging and also ad mill work in. We also have cool down and warm up walks.
Good for you! Warm up & cool down is just as important for your dog as it is for you. I am an animal massage therapist, and I am forever telling dog and horse owners that they need to warm/cool.

we walk before we run ...and walk the last few minutes ...guess that's a warm/cool.
interesting ...do you work w/ horses more then dogs? ...I know some acupuncturists for horses around here
His main problem is obesity, but his owner does not want to hear that. She has heard it from the chiropractor and the acupuncturist. I told her too. Pork rinds and Skittles are not what she should be feeding him.
