Cops are just "following policy" - and that's precisely the problem.
A cop shot a dog the other day. Again.
Maybe you’ve seen the video -- it was all over the Internet, complete with the dog's grisly death spasms. Hawthorne, Calif., resident Leon Rosby was using his cellphone to record a standoff between police officers and armed robbers. At the end of the standoff, officers headed Rosby’s way.
Sorry, as much as I love dogs, police officers are not punching bags and they are not chew toys. They do not have to accept being assaulted by man or beast while they are attempting to do their jobs.

Did you see that particular video? If not, you have no idea what he is talking about. The cops were complete dumbasses and I can only hope the owner gets revenge on the officer when off-duty or at the least fired.
good article...oregonwoodsmoke. I agree...cops do not have to accept being assaulted by man or beast...that's not what happened in this video...it was the opposite, the cop assaulted the man, and then shot his dog. He could very, very easily have ended the whole affair with no violence at all. The COP chose to be violent in this instance...
This makes me sad, and no one will go to jail for this
