We take our dog out for multiple walks every day. Each time she comes back home, she dives into her bedding and rubs her face all over it. I think it's cute and just put her bedding back in place when she's done.
She's done it for years. It used to be that she'd run in the door and rub her face along the side of the couch. But now we have a leather couch, so she does it to her bedding.
Does anybody have any idea why she does this? Just curious, really.
I have no idea but it sounds adorable. Dogs rub and roll around in/on things to change their scent. Maybe she just wants to smell like the house instead of the outdoors. Maybe she's just happy to be home.
My Frenchie does this all the time...he practically throws his body into one of the many dog beds around the house. I've often wondered myself...still don't have a clue but it is pretty funny. LOL
My GSD mix does it on the carpet, she runs into the room, falls down and rolls around as if she's so happy she can't contain it. She does it in grass once in a while too. Cracks me up every time. When my friend saw it and asked what she was doing I told him she wants to be an actor but had to settle for being a drama queen, LOL
