print this and give a copy to the teenager. teenagers especially boys can be pretty dense sometimes. Most teenagers also think they know everything (and everyone else knows nothing).
Sometimes people need things explained or shown to them in a very simple matter to understand it.
It doesnt get much more simple than this.
I actually used a similar poster and had it taped to my front door about how to greet a dog and how not to greet a dog because some of my boyfriends friends couldnt grasp the concept that our dog was nervous and scared when visitors came over and if you just ignored her and pretended she was invisable untill she came to you on her own terms she would be fine in less than 5 mins but that trying to "get her to like you" ment at least 20-30 mins of barking and herbeing nervous and not comfortable most of their visit if not the entire visit. The poster worked and no longer has to be hung on my front door.
Ps, these "boys" that couldnt follow simple instructions to pretend my dog was invisable we boys in their early to mid 30's!! lol
