There are already plenty of Yorkies and other breeds in pounds and shelters. Don't sentence your dog's children to the same fate. If every dog were bred once the problem would be far worse. Please have him neutered now.
Definately not the place to come asking a question like this, your going to get some harsh responses, also what makes your dog worthy of breeding and what makes you as an owner and "breeder" knowledgable enough to breed your dog?
What's the goal here are you wanting to make money? Do you want another free puppy? Or you just think you should treat your dog to having sex once before getting him neutered? Seems kinda silly.
I've heard that once dogs mate they will always go after female dogs after that, you may be opening pandoras box.
Have you had any genetic testing on your dog to make sure he's a good dog to breed? Are you educated about breeding dogs? What's the end goal here why do you want to breed your dog?
So, let's see. 6-8 million cats and dogs go into shelters each year. 3-4 million cats and dogs are adopted each year. We know what happens to the rest. But you want to add a litter of pups to the population, because you want your dog to have sex once in his life before he's neutered. Makes sense to me!
But I know what you're thinking. Yorkies don't wind up in shelters. Think again, they do.
"I'll find good homes for my pups". Or, rather the b-i-t-c-h's family will, since they will have the puppies. Will they screen people and agree to take them back, at any time in the future, if the family can/will no longer keep them?
Has your pup had any health certifications at all? Did his parents? Fine he appears to be in good health now, but he's young. Do you really know his genetic background, to say he'll stay that way, or that his offspring will be healthy?
Please go ahead and get him neutered now. Thank you for at least not wanting to leave him intact his whole life.
