Wonder how many folks called to adopt Ripple after this?

They said on Inside Edition that they had received many adoption requests for the dog.

The reporter and/or the shelter that sent him the dog for public exposure were very foolish:

The shelter either had no idea of the dog's temperament (very puppyish and playful) or didn't care that they were putting this sort of dog on TV with a weatherman while the latter was trying to do a live weather forecast.

Either the shelter or the TV producers or the weatherman put this bouncy, playful and large/strong dog on TV attached to a man who is not a dog trainer by a flexi-lead; which definitely does not provide as much control to the human as would a leather leash.

Note that the dog is not aggressive, he is just very playful. I've had puppies and young dogs do this to me; though, since they were smaller, and I was not doing a live TV weather forecast, there was no publicity. Also, I used leather leashes, which enabled me in each case to get the pup under control sooner.

You can tell the guy was thoroughly enjoying the fun. At one point somebody off camera seems to be indicating they would take the dog away but the weatherman says No--let him stay. That clip is getting lots of exposure now yet it seems to be very old. -1 even in Canada seems like it was winter and not fall.
