A year or so ago that was a big thing here in NC. At the time we owned a pure white Samoyed, which we never let in our yard unattended. A Construction worker made a comment to another man as I was walking her one day, "that beauty would look really good in the passenger seat of my truck." That's all I had to hear. People would take the dogs right out of their yards and use them for fighting & baiting. If our dog is outside she is with one of us.
I am glad that the owner got his beautiful dog back & that the person was arrested.

I put two large padlocks on my wooden fence gate, one in the front side and one on the backside (backside one cannot be seen) and never leave the dogs outside when I am not home. Also have six security cameras that stream storage to the internet.
