We have a 1 year old Chiweenie (cross between a chi and a dacsund) and we just love her. She is so spoiled and has taken over the house. Does anyone else have one and how has your experience been with them?

Default Got Chiweenie

I have a little girl, Tink. Short for Tinkerbell, but Tinkasaurus Rex is more fitting. Mom is a dappled mini-dach and dad, a chihuahua. Tink is spoiled rotten, stubborn and willful. She's too cute for words. She won't sit still long enough for regular weighings, but the vet weighed her at 4lbs. I don't know where the 4lbs are, she's tiny. She's dappled like mom, with some white from her dad. I can't imagine a day without her in it. I love my other dogs very much, but Tink is my little brat.

Just got her today finally. She is very mellow as they have removed damaged dewclaws, fixed her and repaired a hernia. She is a sweetie though. I dont think she ever learned to bark. I cant get her to bark for nothing.

Talking I love my chiweenie

My boyfriend brought me home a puppy but all he knew was that her mother was a chiuaua, and they weren't sure what the father was. As she started to grow i notice that she no longer looked like a chiuaua but more like a daushund. I never knew they were an actual breed of dog till I got on the pc just looking at different breeds of dogs. She is great. I have never loved an animal so much. She's got the best mantality and is truly like a best friend. I am sooooooo lucky to have an amazing dog.

I'm not sure if you really meant it this way, but they aren't a breed. They are a mix, mutt, or whatever you'd like to call them. All are great dogs, but I want to point out they're not a breed.

I don't own one, but we've had a few cuties come through our rescue. I only have pictures of two. What I've found is they really do all look different. One of the others we had was all tan and a little guy.

Leaha
I LOVE this picture of her. She looks like she's going to take over the world.

Godiva

She was so tiny

i own one and have had him since the day i could take him away from his mom. He was born feb 7th of 2007, and the day he turned 6 weeks old he came home with us. XR is great he thinks he is a big ole mean dog. XR sure will let you know if he thinks something is wrong.

oh and chiweenies are not mutts they are hybrids, we know who there dad and mom are. their parents are not unkown as in mutts.

i will try to get a pic of my wonderfull XR up on here, sometime.

I can breed two dogs and know the parents. It is called a mutt. Even though they are cute, calling them by a different name doesn't change the facts. Hybrid, designer dogs are high priced mutts. However you may put it.
