My dog has been sick for about a week. He's been to the vet and emergency vet twice and $3600 later the only diagnosis we have is a Uti. When he went in he had a fever of 104, vomiting, lethargy, not eating, couldn't wait to go outside to pee, very stiff. He stayed at the hospital over the weekend and he is now finally eating and his fever is down. But now he has a new symptom. He has been pooping while laying down. He acts like he doesn't even know. He is a 7 year old Great Dane. Could this be from us feeding him wet can food or all of the antibiotics?? Thanks in advance, Frank

So sorry for you. If the poop is yellow/orange and slimey tell your vet.

It's the consistency of thick oatmeal. I know, nasty. When he actually pooped outside it was a greenish slime color.

Call the vet today.

It could be anything. Sometimes they do get diarrhea from antibiotics but the fact that he's pooping while laying down in concerning. He's still not feeling well if can't/won't get up to poop.

Good luck.
