My apartment maintenance man didn't like cats...I'd seen him kick cats outside.. My new cat was not friendly very long after we moved there. Cats have it a little easier I think due to their size, they can hide easily. I just leave room under bed, dresser out a bit and couch pulled out and cat feels more secure.

You might consider getting a big dog crate and cover it up with sheet while dog stays in it during say. It will make him sleep more. Could leave the dog with older neighbors who are home all the time or use dog daycare. Craigslist has lots of people listed who walk dogs or take dogs during day. Do you drive past a friend's or family's home on way to work so you could leave the dog in their yard? Maybe you can try to work from home sometimes or work on getting this kind of lifestyle?

I have absolutely no idea what it means when you say a dog is "tweakin or something". Maybe a bit more description of what the dog is actually doing would help you to get some better advice.

That's what I was just going to say as well. What do you mean by 'tweaking', OP? Does your dog twitch randomly?

Since this behaviour appears to be abnormal for your dog, a vet visit should be in order if it is continuing. My first thought when I read your post was this *might* be a precursor to epilepsy. I used to have a beagle mix who was fine as a pup, but then when she was around a year old she began reacting to loud sounds and would either start to 'twitch' (body flinches), or would panic and start to run. It was several months before actual seizures began developing.

At any rate, your description is rather vague. If concerned, call your local vet's office and describe everything that you've noticed about your dog's sudden unusual behaviour.
