I know I keep shooting in the dark but we can't stand the itches.

The fish oi and his meds combined help a little but he's still waking me up at night w/ itches.
Did the itches start right after the vaccine shot (within 48 hours)? Itch is caused by hyper-inflammatory response. Vaccine can stimulate and result in hyper inflammatory response, thus contributing to the itches. However, vaccine may not be the original culprit. Can you send Cody to your Mom's place for a while to see whether the environment plays a role in his problem? If it isn't the environemental factor, it can be caused by the vaccine shot.

My dog has the same problem. i brought him to the vet and was told he had a flea allergy. Just one flea will flare up his itches. Puritis was his diagnosis and he got some anti itch medication. We use Advantage every month but apparently all it takes is one flea to aggravate him so i'm starting to apply it every 3 weeks instead of 4. He seems to be doing much better.
