Is garlic mustard (the plant) poisonous to dogs? There's a lot of it growing next to hiking trails and my dog loves sniffing it. The same with the shelter dogs I walk.
If you have correctly identified garlic mustard, it was introduced to the US for its value as a kitchen herb for flavoring. It is edible. It is not of the onion family, despite the "garlic" in its common name.
So, no, no worries for garlic mustard and dogs.
BTW, neither garlic nor onions are all that poisonous to dogs either. Your dog would have to eat something like its own weight in garlic to suffer toxic effects.

Onions contain an ingredient called thiosulphate which is toxic to cats and dogs. The ingestion of onions causes a condition called hemolytic anemia, which is characterized by damage to the red blood cells. Onion toxicity can cause the red blood cells circulating through your pet's body to burst.
It takes a very small amount of onions to poison your cat or dog.
And maybe some dogs would have to eat a lot of garlic to suffer ill effects but others might have to eat only a small amount. I care too much about my dogs to take a chance.
