Teddie's back and pretty out of it. I think he's upset with me more than anything; I left him for three days. I'd probably be pissed too. He's been sleeping most of the morning since he got home and Velma isn't to pleased either. He's tired, sore, and drugged so playing is out of the question. Of course that's all she wants to do so she's pouting over on the dog beds right now.

While at the vet; even thought I mentioned he's allergic to grains and chicken, he's broken out in an allergic reaction. My guess is science diet, but I was so caught up in getting him back and didn't notice it was bothering him until we got home. His paw was so matted from chewing, but once the food they fed him is out of his system he'll be better.

Here he is in all his sleepy glory

They shaved his poor little leg

I am so glad he is home with his mama and Velma...! That sux they fed him Science Diet in there, knowing he is allergic to the stuff. I remember when I adopted my last kitty, he was sick so I had to wait about a week before I could take him home, and I brought them holistic food for them to start mixing with the stuff they had been feeding him (Purina) and they told me he picked around and left the Purina in the bowl...I was so happy he already had a taste for organic, no-grain food!

Yesterday when I brougt Ted home I noticed what looked lik bruising on his chest. This morning I called into the vet to ask about it and she was a little worried that it could have been a clottin problem. She said it could be a bruised, but if it wasn't better to bring him in tomorrow.

The more I looked at it the more I was worried it was a clotting problem. So I took him straight to the vet and it turns out he has a hematoma from the techs drawing blood. Much better than a clotting issue, but it looks pretty horrible. His chest is pretty much black/purple/red...

Thank you guys; he's doing some what better today.

Oh my goodness! I haven't been on the site the past few days --- you and TR have certainly had a rough time this week! You will both be in my prayers -- give all the dogs a hug from all your city-data friends.
