As far as I know Jazz is a border collie cattle dog cross and her coat is like a short coated Border collies very soft dense and thick ( a double coat) but yes her coloring is alot like some of the Catahoulas. Her body shape is not at all catahoula. She moves like a border collie but her behavior is so Cattle dog. Her brother looked more like a cattle dog.Here is a photo of her

i bet we all do this to some extent, whether or not the dog we have is a type we've always liked. i always respond to dogs that look like sadie. and more tellingly, so does my husband, even though he had a pronounced dislike of the scruffy bearded look before we got her.
