My old guy has lost the use of his hind legs, so I whipped up this from a discarded stroller...Total cost $12.00....The commercially sold ones are pricey, but this works as well as any of them.

It looks great. I would, however, suggest putting MUCH MORE PADDING under his hind legs where the strap hits them. Get one of those liners for crates, cut it up and sew it all around that strap. He's going to get pressure ulcers if you don't!

I know...The thing is a work in progress. There is very little pressure on the leg strap, but I will have to do a bit of sewing and come up with something a bit more comfortable for him....I'm thinking of a sack of some kind.

Get one of those very soft, puffy kind of mats that are put on the bottom of crates. Trust me, I've dealt with people who are immobilized a 'sack' is NOT going to cut it. Think puffy and soft. Not a sack.

Great job!

I built something kind of like this for a little lamb with bad back legs out of wood. I used some wheels like the ones on your stroller.

If you can't get this fine tuned to where you want, take the wheels off and try making a wooden one.

I'm impressed. I could never have come up with that on my own!
