He sleeps on his bed on the floor next to ours until the morning, then he usually lays down between us for a little snuggle before the alarm clocks start going off.

We live in a SMALL one bedroom apartment. Our four legged daughter, really enjoys sleeping on the love seat at night. That's where she does most of her night-time sleeping. At 100 - 110lbs, it makes the perfect bed for her. However, she does move throughout the night, to three other places. The bathroom (tile) floor, next to the bed, or against the front door. During the day, our bed is added in the mix. So basically, wherever she wants.

1. Her bed on the floor
2. Her couch
3. Her chair

No dogs in bed with me. That's where I draw the line.

I would like mine to sleep on my bed with me but as soon as I turn the lights off, she jumps to her own bed, with is next to mine. She jumps back on my bed at dawn and waits till I take her out.

On the floor, on the same side of the bed that I sleep on; I have to be careful not to step on her when I get up in the morning. She also makes sure that her head is under the bed so that the morning light does not disturb her

Even though he regularly sleeps with us, we taught our dog that the bed is human property. He must "ask permission " to get on it and then only on top of the comforter, not in the sheets. In reality this means he whines or gives the begging stare until one of us gives him the o.k. to go upstairs. He he gets down during the night or escorts me to a midnight bathroom run, he will whine again until he gets permission. Of course I'm the lighter sleeper so I'm the one he usually "bugs". It also means that when we are not home he turns down the bedding to make a pillow of the rolled down linens. Oi!

did I mention that "Buggah" also has two homemade, custom dog beds and a pillowed crate in addition to our bed?
