(This seemed to be the most appropriate section to put this thread in.)

I seem to be having a tough time not getting my $50 back for a M.O. that I mailed in which seemed to have gotten lost in the mail. I did the procedure, which was send $15 and their form along with a copy of the lost M.O. (which I did take a copy before mailing).

I get a letter saying "my tracer couldn't be validated and to call them at this 1-800 # to talk to someone", but I can't get a live person on the phone. There must be some trick to finally get someone, but of course, they'll make it nearly impossible for people because they don't want to deal with it.

Anyone have any tips to get a live person? The # they gave was 1-800-999-9660. I tried different options, etc. and pressing o or 9 doesn't seem to work. I'll keep trying. TIA!

I found another # so let's see if I get anywhere there: 1 (800) 325-6000.

Minutes later...

When I called that other #, they transferred me to a live person so she told me I need to send a copy of my DL now. Fortunately, I can email it.

I hope all this is worth getting my $50 back!

So you're already out $15 trying to get your $50 back?

This seems like a racket. I'm not sure it's worth much more effort to get your remaining $35 back, which is what I'm guessing they're counting on.

So I sent the latest info of what they wanted today, so they better not want a thing else because if it's any more money, it's not worth doing.
