I filed my 2019 income tax in late Feb. via e-File online. Just received my stimulus deposit this morning at around 1:56am from my email alert sent by my bank. I'm afraid that most people who did not file by direct deposit will have to wait longer due to the slower printing presses and snail mail.
We are social security and ours did not arrive today. Which by coincidence is the day this month we receive s.s. benefit. It has a description so we know it is not the stimulus funds.
There is a "check my payment" on the IRS website.
It was supposed to tell us where in the process the funds are.
Being no status it sounds like ours as not reached the IRS though will used the link last week to enter bank information. We file a return but never include bank info since no refund is due and no taxes are due.
They only say that they will send people a card 15 days after the payment was sent to those who qualify to see if they received it.
I've already filed my taxes with an accountant, but should I do the e-file system on the IRS's site to get the money via DD faster than waiting for a check?
