A back to work bonus to help gets those off the $600 stay on unemployment bonus? (status, income)

Will a back to work bonus get those getting used to that extra $600 a week bonus off of the government dole along with help getting the economy back?

That extra $600 is supposed to stop at end of July anyway, so what's the point?

avoiding 8-1-2020 when ui goes back to normal is their bonus.

It actually stops in most states the week before ....it is like we get paid for the week of 7/26 ...by 7/31 it actually ended when that weeks check is paid...so in effect it actually ends a week earlier

I agree. Paying unemployed people MORE than their regular income is not a good idea.

i agree and i am collecting for my one day of work i did . the thought i am making 2x what i do working is insane.

i didn't even think of filing until the hr dept told me that other part timers are filing and collecting . she said we have been contributing to your unemployment for 42 years , you should file ... so i did ..... that 600 should be prorated someway but it isn't .

i got a retro check going back to march for thousands that i was entitled to

Some of those choosing not to return to work are being replaced. It's a game of chicken with the employer that ends badly for the employee in a about a month.

many many jobs with large corporations will be going from furlough to layoff status in july .

my son is a partner in a huge national labor law firm . they are swamped doing the paperwork required for these large corporation layoffs.

I don't understand how people are supposedly not going back to work when called back because they make more on unemployment... I thought a person loses unemployment payments if they refuse employment that they're offered?
