How can a kid be suspended from school over a haircut?

Pick your battles with teens. Hair/clothing is not a battle worth picking as long as it's not racist, obscene, drug related, gang related, or overly revealing.

could an exceptionally beautiful kid be suspended for being a distraction? or an exceptionally unattractive kid? flashing shoes, short shorts, and on and on it goes. I think the haircut is beautiful and he was brave to get it. Glad he and his family were rewarded by his favorite team.

I went to a private HS and they had pretty strict hair related rules.

I don't think this would have gone over well.
