School was easy for me. Almost all A's throughout. It was when I got to college that I learned just how little school had prepared me for that level work. School was taught to the lowest level in the classroom, so making A's wasn't hard. College however was designed to challenge you and the lack of preparation I had in school really showed my freshman year.

I was in grade school in the 1960s. I recently came across my old report cards and was shocked how poorly I did. Mostly Bs and Cs. We also got a numerical grade (1 being best and 5 worst) on effort. I consistently got 3s and 4s. I must have caused my parents a lot of sleepness nights.

I received A's, B's, & C's from grade school through college. Pretty much straight A's in anything history related and C's math related.

With today's grade inflation and the teachers being forced to teach to the bottom of the class by administration and parents, I'd probably have been a straight A student in high school.
