Is this possible in any way? My dh is interviewing for a job in Manchester, NH, but we are unsure about living in NH. Our first choice was MA (outlying Boston) for various reasons, one of them being good schools. But with the price of gas these days, we got to thinking we should take a closer look at living in NH, maybe Nashua. So we'd like to compare schools in two different states to each other. Is this doable? Most of the school ranking sites rank them within a state. We're looking at schoolmatch.com as a possible site that claims to be able to compare school districts from different states (see my post). Other than that we don't know how to start. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks!

SchoolMatters - Home (http://www.schoolmatters.com/ - broken link) This site is backed by Standard & Poors. You can get a baseline by comparing by your own school district - a known quantity and then plugging in your out of state choices.

I am having trouble doing this. When I click on "compare schools" I can list up to 3 schools, but I can only do this within a state. Do I need to click somewhere else?

No, you can't actually compare the schools between states on the same screen but I've done it by cutting and pasting the info onto a word document. Perhaps that's why the schoolmatch site can charge so much. I actually think I used schoolmatch a couple of years ago to help my son with college selection - his HS got a subscription. I could be mistaken but I thought that was the name.
