Does anybody know if there are neighborhoods on the east side that are similar to the Willows out on the west side? I know they have the paseo's but i'm more interested in the neighborhood being both gated and a little more spread out and not stacked on top of eachother house wise. We need a safe , nice place to raise some babies. El Paso will probably never be majority Cajun but that dosen's mean we're not going to try!

Any help would be appreciated

Marceaux, the gated communities will still be 80% Hispanic. I'm not sure if I misunderstood or if your last comment was just an attempt at humor - but if Hispanic neighbors are an issue then maybe El Paso isn't the place for you. Gated or not gated - El Paso is a very safe city.

I thought it was funny,,

I'm well aware that EP is majority Hispanic and I'm definatly ok with it.

I'm more worried about finding a place to live that is gated and has bigger yards, preferably on the east side. 300k ish range.

I've eaten at Taco Bell a bunch of times so I should be good to go with hispanic culture,, almost an expert even.

On a serious note I would prefer to live in a community like I described,, with more affluent people. It dosent matter to me what their ethnic background is(*), chances are if they have a little money they are going to take pride in the way their house and neighborhood looks. The Willows seem like a very nice place to live, I was just curious to if there was something on the east side that is similar.

Thank you for your help

There are a few but not many gated communities towards the eastside part of town. The Paseos is partially gated as Mistabinks already brought out, you might also want to try out the Stone Gate community near Americas HS.

There are plenty of estates that range from 250k-400k on the eastside but many aren't gated ie El Dorado Estates, Bella Estates, Americas Estates

I have an aunt that lives in "The Willows" and you will not find a place like that on the eastside. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. They have a unique environment due to the river being so close that allows for more vegetation.
The only community that I can think of is going to be Briargate Estates. I have a business associate who lives there and his home is really nice.
Why not move into "The Willows"? The commute would not be difficult since there is easy access to all of El Paso via Interstate 10. Good luck and welcome to El Paso!

Fella's,

Thank you for all your comments, most of them were very helpful. One issue though,, I cant find this briargate neighborhood that you mentioned, where is it by? I'm mainly using the Trulia N'hood feature looking at all these places people are referencing.

Again, thank you

Perhaps he means Briarwood Estates - an older neighbourhood just north of The Willow.
Sunset/Briarwood, Briarwood/Coeur D`Alene.
631 Sunset-, El Paso, TX - Google Maps
