Default Meh...

Here we go again. A low crime rate does not make a city safe, it just means there are not many crimes reported. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security based on statistics.

If you came to my neighborhood in Katy, TX, you will not see one single metal bar on someone's windows, or doors, not one, not anywhere. People instead have guns, and most people, including criminals, know this. Hence, crime is low. In El Paso you have those ugly bars on doors and windows, no matter how ornate they are, they are hideous. But they work!

Seriously, no matter where you go in El Paso, you will find at least one house bars, even nice homes. This is what is keeping crime statistis down, most criminals do not want to break into a "jail". Many neighborhoods have them that I think some people don't even notice them anymore.

Anything to put the city down, huh?

Didn't your parents teach you any manners? If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all.

hookthebrotherup. I'll leave it to a person's judgment, (I guess). The new suburb neighborhood homes have alarm systems, and there are so many here, but most of them do not activate them. Bars, as you know, are outdated,...

Security bars definitely are an eyesore and instantly ghetto-fy a house. They are also obsolete and dangerous.
