On a trip through Northern Nevada and Oregon I ate at a restaurant called the Black Bear Inn and the food and portions were great. I couldn't finish my breakfast it was so huge. In Vegas another place called Soup & Salad was a good place to eat.

Even though EP is supposedly the mexican food capital of US, I think "Pappacitos Cantina" would do good there. The fajitas are awsome.

We have a market similar...or at least had one back in 2004 on the Westside, called Sun Harvest, but isn't quite Trader Joe's. If we did have a Trader Joe's, it would have to be in a middle to higher income area of EP. Can't picture it really catching on w/ mainstream EP.

Ahh a Norfolk staple! After the symphony for a milkshake! They have a great salad bar! Gotta love the Shoney's, Denny's, Village Inn analogues!

Default Still there

Sun Harvest is stilll there. Thought TJ's would have done well where the old Blue Sage on Resler and Redd was...now a Walmart Grocery store. I do agree with you on where a TJ's would do well...seems transplants know it well and there are plenty of us on the Westside.

Well, we tried to eat at the one in Midland, but the cigarette smoke was so thick that we went elsewhere. It's one of the few restaurants in the area that chose to go all-smoking.
