Last night was great for UTEP and Cal. UTEP did what it needed.

Cal played at Washington and never lead after a 1-0 lead until ... until.... the last 15 seconds or so of ... the THIRD OVERTIME. I could be wrong on this - but it was the most exciting game I've seen in a long time. Cal's star Jerome Randle fouled out to start the 3rd OT and Washington went ahead again - Cal had two freshmen playing the backcourt - but somehow won.

Wasington had won 9 in a row and was undefeated in Pac 10 play till last night . Cal is 4-0

As for UTEP I hope everyone in town piles in to the Memphis game.

They are the defending Conference USA champions. They also made it to the second round of the women's NCAA tournament last year. Two of their players were drafted to the WNBA. They are good.

That was a good game as they are really up tempo and exciting and the crowd was .....7,000 i'm guessing and they reminded me of an LA T-Bird roller derby crowd as they were loud and raucus..

Those 2 freshman Caldwell and Green are really good. Heck i might even subscribe to UTEP's webcast. Although i'm around 90 miles north of UTEP as the drive there and back would be kinda rough but if i lived in EP i'd be a season ticket holder.

You weren't kidding! I just got home and watched my the game on my DVR. El Paso really represented themselves well. The crowd was fantastic and came off great on TV. Kudos to ESPN2 for a very nice feature on The Bear.

Yes, they are definitely on the radio. I think it is AM 1650. I could very well be wrong about the exact station though. Also, the Lady Miners next game will be on ESPN2 this Sunday at noon from Tulane.

Last plug for TONIGHT's game.

UTEP really deserves a big crowd tonight. This is a big time game - nothing second rate about it.

7:05 at The Don!

Don't forget it is Military Night as well.

Also, Stephon Jackson will be presented with a game ball. He recently broke the ALL TIME scoring record at UTEP.

GO MINERS!

I will try and find out if the women's games are on the web. The men's games are online on 923thefox.com.
