Hi. Im {we} are planning our wedding for June 2013, but I want an outdoor ceremony & have already decided on the botanical gardens @ Heritage Park for the reception & dance. Any ideas on the ceremony for us, we're going on a 17 year relationship so a church wedding is out of the question. Thanks.

Try the El Paso Parks and Rec Department.
Park Pavilion rental is $30 an hour for residents and $37 for non-residents.

Best value is McKelligon Canyon Pavilion. It's only about 600 bucks(!) to rent the entire facility for the day, not including a deposit and a few other expenses. Save the rest for a home down payment.

The other routes are insane. Places like Grace Gardens are incredibly expensive, only want you to use their catering service, and nickel and dime you for everything, like cake cutting fees of 75 bucks. It's ridiculous.

With McKelligon, you'll have to worry about choosing more than the all-in-one venues provide, but it'll save you thousands of dollars.
