U-Verse is technically available in El Paso. I say technically because they are adding neighborhoods everyday. It still isn't available in my neighborhood just yet.

Ok..I bit the bullet. I signed up for Direct TV. Not too crazy about the $21 shipping fee but the price for programming seemed good. My kids will be thrilled!

I heard from a AT&T Uverse customer how he was lured into signing up with them at a very low price just to get his rate go up 5 TIMES in 2008. They have been here from awhile not sure all of 2008 but come on...5 times? Not cool.

I checked out their website and they were advertising prices that seemed a little steep to me. But maybe their product is worth it.
