Stimulus at work in El Paso: Easing East Side traffic snarls - El Paso Times

Wow! There is a possibility that we might see the new spagetti bowl finished much sooner than previously thought.

More news has come out on this, it looks like we will likely get 4 ramps instead of 8. The first four ramps will likely be approved next week and construction will probably start around August. The other four ramps will still get built but it looks like they will still need more funding in the future to fully complete them.

State plan calls for four ramps at East Side 'spaghetti bowl' - El Paso Times

It's not all eight ramps..but something is better than nothing and those four ramps are sorely needed.
Sometimes it takes a long time just to go from one freeway to the other..

I hope they build these ramps first:
I-10 East to Loop 375 North
I-10 West to Loop 375 North
Loop 375 South to I-10 West
Loop 375 South to I-10 East

That is great news Chuco! It means that half of the new Spagetti Bowl's construction would start this summer instead of two years from now when only the first two connectors would have been scheduled for construction. This is great news for some of us that have to constantly travel to that area of town.

With all of that I would hope they could figure out how to fix I-10 between Resler and just past Sunland Park. That's in the AM. In the PM, they need to figure out I-10 between Resler and Redd. I think the afternoon is just all out bad driving.

I guess that's where the Southern Relief Route comes into place. Check the video http://www.elpasomobility.org/videos...te_English.wmv (http://www.elpasomobility.org/videos/960-SoReliefRoute_English.wmv - broken link)

This project has now been officially approved. 4 of the 8 ramps are scheduled to be built over the next few years.. the next 4 will still need more funding to be completed. This is still good news.. as any ramps, even just 4 for now will be great for all of those that use Loop 375 and I-10 on a daily basis.

Our second "Spaghetti Bowl" will finally begin construction by probably August of this year. Some say that these ramps will be completed within 3 years and will create 200 to 3000 new jobs, so this is all good news.

I second that motion 6 FOOT! According to one of the articles, they could start construction sometime in the spring and could be finished in less than two years!!!

This is great news for El Paso
But If you look at the interchange, all you really need right now is 4 ramps to alleviate congestion, especially at the Rojas Intersection.
