This is great for some of these smaller non big money programs.

UTEP is more athletic than Butler and aside from the Houston loss where the game meant much more to Houston, they have been hot. UTEP should not be the underdog.

Sam Houston State (Huntsville) known as the best criminal justice program, at least in the South has decimated its Southland Conf opponents. They play Baylor.

North Texas -out of Denton known for its fine music and public admin has to play Kansas State - they will be big underdogs.

Congrats too all three of these programs!

Of all three only UTEP has a realistic chance of coming out of the 1st round.

That's probably correct -the others are smaller programs and are facing better opponents.

I also like Cal they are higher seeded than any of the aforementioned schools but they play Louisville who beat Syracuse.

It will be tough for Cal. It has been a down year for the Pac-10.

Its always tough for Cal - students actually have to go to class and Cal has flunked or encouraged players to go to other schools.

The Pac 10 was horrible this year- I can't think of a worse one. Both Cal and Louisville have been inconsistent - hard game to predict.

No offense, but your guys tanked that one AND it meant the committee had you sweating that show out. Losing two of three to a streetballing UH bunch means you will have trouble with Butler's skill.

Just saying.

Every team has tanked a few this year. Louisville lost to western carolina and Charlotte then beat Syracuse. Indiana was the last team to go through a season undefeated. No one dominates anymore.

every sports analyst has UTEP beating Butler. I have UTEp going to the Sweet 16 on my bracket. It's obvious that UTEP shouldnt be a 12 seed, but this is probably a blessing in disguise.

If every sports analyst has UTEP winning, then the opposite is probably going to happen.
