She's not running now against Obama...
and (still) very largely for the same reason she didn't run in 2008.
The silver platter handed to the Dems in 2008...
that virtually ANY democrat could win against virtually ANY republican...
had her as the caveat.
No matter how appealing she was to the left...
and regardless of the quality of the job she might do as POTUS in a magic wand situation...
she will never win the general. Never.
---
All that aside... Obama has the win in 2012.
Get over it.
If they are not a viable candidate, it would be like a bear taking a crap in the woods. Nobody would be around to hear it.
Your basic problem seems to be, you're either in complete DENIAL...or you simply don't realize BO is far less a viable candidate, than anyone the repubs are running.
Except Rick Perry....he probably ties BO, as not viable!!

Uh, OK. Reagan wasn't a viable candidate in 1976. He still damaged Ford's re-election chances. Buchanan was not a viable candidate in 1992. He still damaged Bush's re-election chances. A primary challenger doesn't have to be "viable" to damage a vulnerable incumbent during the primary race.

Well to date. I have not heard of anyone who is planning on running against Obama viable or otherwise. You may have a point, but I just don't see it happening.

Seems necessary, So I repeat...

You don't seem to be looking at the polling. I am not saying that Obama is the best candidate and if there was a strong centrist Republican candidate on the otherside he would probably lose, but it is the Republican's fault. A right wing Republican is not going to win. Obama should send a thank you not to the Tea Party. Thank you for ushering in four more years for me.
I know the new tactic by Republicans is to try to cause a crack in the democratic party by suggesting that another democrat would have a chance.
It is simply not going to happen. Democrats know that there best chance to win is with the incumbent and not having two people beating each other up on the way to the election.
Bill Clinton handled the suggestion that his wife run with great skill. He recognizes what the Republicans are trying to do and simply does not fall for it. We miss Bill.
Here is Bill on Meet the press.
"But I also have a high regard for Vice President Cheney's political skills, and I think one of those great skills is sowing discord among the opposition. So I think he's right that she's done a heck of a job. But she is a member of this administration, and committed to doing it. And I think he, by saying something nice about her in the way that he did, knew that it might cause a little trouble," Clinton continued.
"I don't want to help him succeed in his political strategy. But I admire that he's still out there hitting the ball."
Give it up Republics. Obama, the man who is leading polls, is going to be the Democratic nominee, the people's choice. Obama for the win!
I'm praying Democrats continue to show their stupidity by making this a choice between Obama, and anyone else!
