The fact that Christie is being solicited by the GOP is evidence of the fact that the GOP is not satisfied with the candidates who are present now. Quite an indictment of the pathetic nature of the party IMO. Their history of failure also plagues them.

Now, the GOP masses are crying their eyes out that Christie won't run, clueless to the fact that were he nominated, he would lose anyway to President Obama.

I've noticed that whenever the Republicans--and I mean the party leaders, not the masses--don't think they're going to win a Presidential election, their reaction is to put up some sort of clown who doesn't really have a chance of winning, anyway. So if you look at who's being proposed as the frontrunner each week, it doesn't seem as though the GOP believes it's going to take the White House next year.

Once the lemmings in the media and their zombie followers open their eyes up and put him under scrutinty, like they did to Perry, Christie would have fizzled out and fade into the woodwork.
OK, OK, you were right....

Nah I have more class than that But, just think about it right? Christie is slightly center-left right? Romney is around there as well, see-sawing between the center and center-left. Romney seems to be the backup establishment favorite (or the safe choice) after Fox exhausts their list of possible flavors of the month. Since Romney is the backup favorite of the establishment, Christie would have put Romney's campaign in jeopardy, paving the way for Ron Paul to have a close shot at the nomination (he's already top 3 consistently), and the establishment is doing everything to keep Ron Paul out of the spotlight. I think that, they might prep Christie to run in 2016, that's my prediction.

He'll never be able to amass this momentum in 2016 after he is out of the governorship. It's either now or never for Christie...I'm hoping he chooses now.
What are you scared of? That he might accumulate a track record allowing people to make informed sober decisions? Or that rabid right will declare faith no more & splinter again if their savior doesn't materialize fast enough, perpetuating the avoidance of hard work in the mirror to realize it is they who assassinated Lincoln and let Barabas go free. You'll only admit it out of the side of your mouth. It's never you.

"I AM YOU" was more than a little creepy. Don't you think? No chance conservatives could take that sidewinder therapeutic joke played on them BY THE GOP? see no evil speak no evil hear no evil.

Besides, Perry is the official candidate. The handlers gave him the most money, they decided who won the primary before the vote date is decided. Not unlike an election in Florida.

How many times did he have to say he is not a candidate before people believe him? Yesterdays announcement settled that one. That he doesn't exactly toe the Republican line on many issues would have made the primary race tough.

until yesterday he had never really given a release. Yes, he had said he wouldn't run, but he needed to do what he did yesterday to convince many. If you listened to him, he did say, he spent time reconsidering, so, actually until yesterday his decision was not a total NO. As for not toeing the Republican line, did it ever occur to you , there are no such things a true any lines. We all have different views. The Republican party is very open to ideas.
