Since I don't think much of politicians in general, regardless of party, I'd say the 2012 election is going to come down to a visual: The Fat White Guy against The Skinny Black Guy.

For some of us, it's a two-edged sword. Sure, we could be rid of him here in NJ, but we might have to listen to his nasty loudmouth bellowing for the next four years anyway.

and this is one thing that makes him appealing to so many in this country: he isn't afraid to tell it as it is, no PC for him.
Actually I think people would appreciate a president who's not a food nazi.
