In a year that looks very, very good for the Republicans, this pathetic parade of clowns is the best the party can field? Really? You would think that with so much blood in the water, the A-listers would come out, but nope. This makes me wonder... does the Republic Party have any A-listers?

Even it I were to setting aside abject ignorance of the English literature and language, I would suggest that the Democratic Party has been deemed the Black Knights for quite some time.

white knight

noun

1. a hero who comes to the rescue.

2. a beleaguered champion who fights heroically for a cause, as in politics.

Black knight - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
