Except that you are watching highlights on MSM. The full video shows that the people enjoyed him and enjoyed the comedy he brought to them that day.

I find it hard to watch Rachel Maddow at all. She is desperate to be the female version of Keith Olbermann...same manner of speaking..same delivery....same pathetic attempts to be humorous. Pathetic.

However...being a republican, I am glad that this video came to light. As far as I am concerned, Obama could have beaten Perry without even trying, and that would not be good for the country. So anything that eliminates Perry is good for the republican chances.

As much as you lefties like to gloat about this sort of thing, I think you all know that Obama....like the Democrat icon Jimmy Carter...is a one termer (or is that wormer as Perry said...hehe). He has made a mess of the economy in this country ....just as Carter did, and has no clue how to turn it around...again, just like Carter. He's a one trick pony who believes that throwing enough printed money out there at the banks will eventually work.

It's the economy stupid!! It's not about Rick Perry or any other republican candidate right now....as much as you are all desperate to have it be. Sorry..the focus is on the man in the white house right now....you know...the one who has decided to forego his final year as the commander in chief so he can campaign, attend fund raisers and go on talk shows full time? yeah...that one.

We'll see come november of 2012.....because even though you lefties want to overlook the Solydra scandal...Obama's woeful ineptness at handling the economy....Obama's lack of leadership...his unfulfilled campaign promises...the fact that this country has endured 9+% unemployment for the longest period of it's time in our history..and his questionable associations (Wright, Ayers, Immelt)...the rest of us won't be overlooking any of it. then we can listen to you all cry about how this country has just taken a step backwards and blah, blah, blah. And me...I'll just be laughing at you all...just as I do now.

Generally we don't choose candidates based on their comedic chops, but rather their policies and beliefs. Perry looks very much like Robin Williams back in his cocaine days in this clip. I'm glad that the crowd got a kick out of Perry, but no serious person could mistake that zany activity as a reason to elect him to the highest office in the country.

Probably the same ones who cheered because of all the people he's executed.

He who laughs last laughs best. And it's all about the GOP candidates; this is when we're supposed to be hearing about their individual platforms and alternatives to the current president. So far there is plenty to laugh about...if you're a Democrat.
