The economy took off when both were in power. The soaring economy was what helped the most.

Yeah, I normally am, but since I can't find any other reason that the economy surged from 1993 through until the recession of the 4th quarter of 2000BW (Before "W") and after Newt left Congress so Barney and Chrissy could impose a huge debt on America with the "Everybody who wants one" gets a mortgage bill. Odd, how when Newt was there, things were typically better. Oh, well.... I guess America has a choice to make. A naughty Newt or an anti-capitalist Barak.
