Yawn....Not agreeing or disagreeing with you,but these reasons are very light compared to those rights taken away during the initial Patriot Act and this after. Some are not even legit.
And since when is Fox news a "left" leaning news source?

Obama only doing what Bush started
two words:George W. Bush

Bush Taps Away At Civil Rights - Broowaha

I was responding to the comment that any freedoms taken away by Obama were only right wing propaganda. Not whether Bush or Obama took more freedoms away.

And, to say Obamacare is very light is way off base.

Two Salon links and a Time link. Salon is far left, Time is at the least left leaning. That is 3 of 5.

I agree the Patriot act changes under Bush were horrible. Not sure if any of it made us safer, but I am certain it made us less free.

See No rights you lost, please point out the rights. Flying without being checked is not a right, and anything sent over theairwaves is in the Public domain, that is why we are warned to be careful, no rights violated. As for the killing of a proven terrorist, cry me a river, interesting to see consevatives defend terrorists, the world truely is up side down.

I lost? Too funny!

You said in your post: "Name the personal rights and freedoms"

Now you are changing it to only rights. Backpedaling?

Read the 6th Amendment:

Conservatives do not defend terrorists. Many do defend the constitution and the laws of this country. When the president does something that violates this in name of fighting terrorism, its still wrong.

Read the 4th Amendment:

Although flying is not a right, we do have the right against unreasonable search and seizure.

And perhaps you should read the Declaration of Independence.

Does'nt that apply specifically to the Patriot Act?

Not backpedaling, jeeez, because I did not use the word, you are grasping at straws.
You mean like invading Panama to arrest their President, that kind of violation? The terrorist gave up his rights as a US citizen when he declared war on our People. So cry me a river I do not care about rights he gave up.
Nothing ureasonable about being searched for everyonessafety and if you do not want to be seached then don't fly.
Perhaps you should do a little reading yourself on how to apply those rights and freedoms.

Why don't we let the police or military search everyone's homes on a regular basis? Why stop with public transportation? I am sure we will turn up lots of things, arrest lots of people who are wanted for various things. We will be safer if we do it. Crime will probably go down.

I am willing to take a chance in flying on a plane without all the extra security. Three planes went down out of how many millions of flights since commercial air travel began. I like those odds. Much more likely the plane will crash due to mechanical failure.

Look, I am against violating the constitution, it does matter if you are a R or D. So GHWB was wrong for what happened in Panama and GWB was wrong for the patriot act. Obama is wrong for extending it.

I am all for profiling people. We know who the enemy is as far as terrorism. You need to give extra screening to Muslims, especially ones living or visiting the Middle East. If you are not Muslim, and flying domestically you pose almost not threat to safety of the airplane.

But we have to be "PC and Progressive" and treat we everyone like a suspect even though we know the profile of the enemy.

Interesting how you so easily let go of your rights.

Do a little research, a natural born U.S. citizen cannot have their citizenship taken without their consent. Your boy that Obama killed, al-Awlaki was most likely still considered a U.S. citizen. I am glad he is dead, just troubled by having a U.S. citizen hit list that Obama uses.

I take it that you never took the skies before Jan 20, 2009.
