Ten to one, Mitt starts sniping at Rick Santorum.
How refreshing it would be if he just displayed his record, stated what he would do specifically to improve the economy, etc...instead of undercutting the more "popular girl" of the moment.

He's backed against the wall. He can't afford to bash Santorum/Gingrich too much in fear of losing more conservative support. Romney can't be honest because he's a moderate flip-flopper who likes changing his mind alot. The only thing he can do is bash Obama endlessly on the economy, which is no longer failing like wishes it was.

He used to be the tall strong invincible New England Republican, now people are beginning to see he's a dishonest moneybagman.

It started in Iowa with everyone piling on to undercut Newt. Then, after his win in New Hampshire, everyone was piling on to undercut Mitt Romney all over South Carolina.

It worked in both cases.

So Romney takes it as a lesson learned and starts firing back. No surprise here, he'd be stupid to do anything different.

If you're watching, what you should have noticed by now: Everyone has made the attempt to turn the corner and direct their assault on Obama instead. It hasn't worked because every single time, when turning the guns towards Obama, one of the other GOP candidates moves in for the kill while their back is turned.

Negative campaigning works. Don't believe me? Nobody has ever spent more money on negative attack ads than Barack Obama did in 2008. Guess where he lives now?

If the American people don't want negative campaigning, then they need to stop rewarding the behavior.

I can't argue with anything you've said.
At some point we need to look at ourselves.
