You couldn't have chosen a more eloquent speaker?!?!

No doubt this choice is a race based/political choice - he will go down as the Worst mayor in Los Angeles history! Hollywood Tony!!!

That man stammers through every press conference and is so incoherent I hope he can put a sentence together!

What a hoot!

The Dems wanted a prominent, successful, Latino politician, for obvious demographic reasons. Villaraigosa fits the image they are shooting for, at least superficially. Hopefully, he won't have to give a speech!

So obvious the latino vote pandering... so painfully obvious - they really should have found someone more suitable than Hollywood Tony!

I'd think that if there is one party who tolerates and even appreciates incoherent speaker, it's the Republicans. Being called ineloquent by a conservative is like being called ugly by a frog.

Obviously the Republican has never use race pandering * Ahem * Michael Steele * Ahem *.

So when a Republican appoints anyone non-"white" it's race pandering?

So typical of a lefty calling conservatives racist.

Racism is about many things, but it isn’t about race. To understand the uses of race in American liberalism requires understanding its place in the political culture. When American liberals speak of race, they aren’t speaking in the genetic sense; what they are doing is clumsily piggybacking class onto race and adding one dubious construct to another.

Who cares who is chairing a convention where Obama's nomination is an afterthought? It's an easy plum job that will just involve essentially event planning on a large level. However, I'd hope whoever is chairing the GOP convention has some serious ringmaster skills because it is going to get rough and insane there whether or not Romney or Santorum get nominated. It's going to be a real circus, I can hardly wait

This is where a conservative's inferior complex comes into play. I never called anyone a racist, race pandering is very different from being a racist. But apparently you wouldn't know that.

Both sides of the isle do race pandering. It's simply silly to point finger.

The Liberal Uses of Race
You are the one that injected race into the topic. Deal with it.
