Most seniors I know, who can no longer get to the polls easily vote absentee. How long ago was it your grandmother voted for someone she didn't even know about, based on something a van driver told her?

This was back in the '90s. And my grandmother was not politically astute by any means. These days, if she were still alive, she most likely would be voting absentee. I was simply responding to the poster who claimed this only happens with Democrats "helping" people vote. As you point out, it goes both ways.

I am sure there were those who did what you say happened to Grandma, but it was and is, not the norm and probably doesn't influence elections because it can work both ways.
