WASHINGTON -- Could Mitt Romney actually be running for president of "Amercia?"
Twitter went wild Tuesday night when it was discovered that the Romney campaign had misspelled the word "America" on its new iPhone app that launched only hours earlier.
The "With Mitt" app lets users take a photo and superimpose one of 14 different phrases over the top before posting the photo directly to Facebook or Twitter or emailing it to a friend.
Instead, on what should have been a night for celebration for the Romney camp -- after the former Massachusetts governor clinched enough delegates to secure the Republican nomination with his Texas primary win -- the app became a platform for ridicule.
"The iPhone app is here – download it & tweet your photos using #WithMitt. Will RT some favorites tomorrow," Romney himself tweeted after clinching the nomination.
New trend, as mistakes seem to endear obama to his followers. He just can't stop flubbing and for a lawyer and great orator Obama's numerous speaking mistakes are appropriately magnified.
Maybe MR has dyslexia, good move mocking an affliction that many people suffer from.
Maybe MR made a spelling error and that put's him on the oppositions 'kill list' as they warm up their drones. Good intentions meant to eliminate a potential presidential candidate who has revealed himself unfit for office due to transposing two letters.
Zac Moffatt, Romney’s digital director, told Mashable Thursday afternoon that the app was meant to be a simple way for Romney backers to show their pride as the candidate took a big symbolic step toward the White House.
“We thought this would be a fun, easy way to showcase support,” Moffatt said. Instead, the app became a platform for ridicule.
Those darn Amercians...
