Political theater? We are suppose to have a budget and the Democrats in the Senate even refuse to vote on the budget that the Republicans passed in the House. Basically, the Democrats know that their party is being highly irresponsible with money under Obama, so they would rather not have anything on record. If they are on record voting for Obama's fantasy budget -- they would lose a lot of elections.

I'm a sheep who lets Obama off the hook, while complainng about it when he scews up. Like gun running to Mexico? Killing a US citizen on foreign soil without a trial? And once again, signing the Patriot act in the War on Terror that should actually be called the "We can wiretap you at any time without a warrant." Act? I'm a sheep, who sees all that.
You called me a sheep. If I said you support Romney, but complain about stupid crap he does as well, would you call that person a sheep? I bet you would. "cuz you do. Whatever.
I'm highly partisan, so ignore that whole thing above and just get back to your rantings about sheep.

Democrats are a little more willing to tackle defense spending, but military contractors and bases aren't just in Republican areas.

The fact is that no one likes austerity. The only way this gets tackled is when we are forced to do it.
Big Bird is just a drop in the bucket. What you said is so true. Sigh.

Do you honestly think a Republican president and a Republican congress would practice austerity?
Nope! That's why God created Libertarians!

Get real. Remember those famous words, "Deficits don't matter?"
Yes-

Much more so than an Obama presidency and a Pelosi congress. With the combination of the two, we blew about $10 trillion.

So yes.................. of course!

Lets look at history. There was a Republican President and a Republican Congress from 2003-2006. We started a war, added Medicare part D, gave a massive tax cut...based on history I would say no.
