Ryan used his elected position for "insider information" to save himself while doing nothing to help the working class.

Quote:
Ryan attended a closed meeting with congressional leaders, Bush's Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on September 18, 2008. The purpose of the meeting was to disclose the coming economic meltdown and beg Congress to pass legislation to help collapsing banks.

Instead of doing anything to help, Ryan left the meeting and on that very same day Paul Ryan sold shares of stock he owned in several troubled banks and reinvested the proceeds in Goldman Sachs, a bank that the meeting had disclosed was not in trouble.
Paul Ryan Used Insider Information To Avoid 2008 Crash

Classy guy. Almost as classy as squirreling money into "off shore investments" instead of reinvesting in America!

BTW......what say you about the cases where Nancy Pelosi benefited from insider information? I'll bet you're mum on that topic.

Have a look at Ryan's financial disclosure form for 2008--you can click on each page to enlarge them. The "Transactions" section begins on page 12--scroll through and look at all the trades Paul Ryan made on "9-18-08":

I am confused. Are you for, or against, using a public office position for insider trading?

I will be happy to view Pelosi's records showing her insider trading. Please post them.

You do realize that what he did is legal for congressmen to do? He really had no choice if you think about it, to hell with ethics. Now, wanting to be the VP, again it should matter. Ryan is also going to release only 2 years of tax returns. Luckily that will not reach back to 2008 but it tells you something in that he is following Romney's lead in tax info otherwise an outcry would arise.

It didnt take any insider trading knowledge to trade base upon the economic collapse.. by 2008, it was well under way

Matt Yglesias at Slate is also reporting on this:
