Well you are the one dissing Romney for making "unrealistic promises" when you've been hearing them now for 4 years from your guy and don't think they are unrealistic.

How is that "off topic" ?

Obviously both sides are promising to "create jobs" but only the smart ones know that the only jobs a government can CREATE are government jobs. So "creating jobs" shouldn't even be an issue because both sides are making the same false promise.

This is a thread about Gitmo, if you wish to talk further about unrealistic promises, I suggest start a thread for that. I was simply commenting that both sides make unrealistic promises when running for office.

The bottom line here is that allowing these terrorists to set foot on American soil would automatically grant them the full protections of any American citizen in the eyes of our courts.

They AREN'T American citizens and they DON'T deserve the same protections. They are enemy combatants and should be treated as such.
