I remember reading in the run-up to the 2008 general election, amongst the truest believers of the Tea Party on here, that Romney was going to win, especially so because of PA. Yes we elected our first Tea Party governor and legislature, but what out-of-staters don't know is that Corbett is one of the most vunerable, if not the most vulnerable, governor in the country.

Latest poll by Quinnipiac having Tom Wolf (D-PA) leading Corbett by a whopping 19 point spread.

*Noticed Florida's Rick Scott is also endangered.

I'd say the tea party overestimated how popular they are, and how low their numbers really were, outside of the South. The tea party has always been mostly a regional movement. Gained some traction in the North, but quickly losing taste up here . Take a look at who most of their supporters are from on here even, the South.

This is from a conservative columnist. Also did anyone notice that Jim Demint almost the original Tea Partier denied he was a Tea Partier. Here in Arizona the Tea Party now calls themselves "Principled Conservatives".

10 signs the tea party is in decline

You live in PA also, petch. You know Corbett is finished.

It's very telling when Demented denies he's a Tea Partier, when he courted and was a large part of the movement in the beginning. What's he running away from?

The problem with living in a bubble is that you begin to think everybody thinks like you, or must think like go. Most of the whackjob right-wing extremists live in the South outside of major metropolitan areas. Most live inside an echo chamber where only their views reaches their ears.

The fact is that if the tea party did not exist, the left would have had to invent it. Most lefties can't make it through the day without pouring out their vitriol on something or someone. Reagan was the original tea partier in 1976, going up against the GOP establishment to the dismay of liberaldom. They called Reagan an "amiable dunce." Now 38 years later they try to rewrite history and claim him as one of their own.

To be fair McConnell is as spastic over this as the left. Pretty interesting for something that was supposed to be over with years ago.

Yep the establishment from both sides a bi partisan effort to destroy those that want less gvt and want to tackle our debt problem. Old Mitch and other {R} scum senators with a trough full of corporation and banker money are going after tea party challengers hard. See old Mitch and other {R} scum along with all the {D}s do not want to rock the boat. They love their power and perks and do not give a dam about the sad direction our country is moving. Bi partisanship at it's finest.
