I don't see any qualifiers here.
Exactly. Where's the "all?"

Where's the "many", "some", "a few"?

Anyway, I'm just thrilled that all along you meant to say, "many", "some", "a few". It's fabulous that you understand that European countries don't all tax their poor and middle-class citizens at higher rates than they tax their rich citizens.

LMAO Your posts in this thread have been a gem. You've been getting it handed to you because you incorrectly thought the European Tax system taxed the lower income less but wont admit it. All the proof in the world yet you won't read the links or admit it. And now you're falsely testifying for the poster. I can't wait to see what you post next.

Some people are trying so hard to be right they've forgotten about the truth.
You're wrong, deal with it!

Not there. And neither is "all." You just imagined something that wasn't there.

Again, the charts are very clear. European countries' tax systems are much more regressive than those in the U.S. system. The tax burden in European countries is disproportionately placed on the lower and middle classes:

I already got the concession from you I wanted. You're just arguing with yourself at this point.

Not sure what thread you're reading, because if you're referring to this thread, then either you don't speak English, or your comprehension skills are sorely lacking.

Actually, all you succeeded in doing was admitting that you are incapable of comprehending the facts.

Facts are facts. And here they are: European countries' tax systems are much more regressive than those in the U.S. system. The tax burden in European countries is disproportionately placed on the lower and middle classes:

Hmmm... you seem to be the only one lost.

Perhaps the U.K. data will clarify things... In this chart, the total effective tax rate in the U.K. is represented by the blue line. Look at which income group is paying the highest total effective tax rate:

Additionally...

"The message from this data is unambiguous: the poorest 20% of households in the UK have both the highest overall tax burden of any quintile and the highest VAT burden."

All I succeeded in getting you to admit that regressive tax systems don't necessarily mean that lower and middle-class citizens pay higher tax rates than the rich.

Regressive taxes do impact lower wage earners more than they do higher wage earners.

But no country, not even in Europe, has a solely regressive tax system. Their tax systems combine regressive and progressive taxes. When the progressive taxes are high enough, the rich pay higher tax rates.

That's a fact. And I wanted it on this thread.

Thank you!
