This is so reminiscent of the Mitt Romney innuendo smear campaign.

Hiding behind comments about Governor Walker's lack of college degree is snobbery and disdain for the vast majority of people in the United States.

Anyone remember Bruce Braley's, "She's not a lawyer - Joni Ernst -.", moment.

This is the same Democrat patriarchal take on Walker. Yes, only the elite may apply.

Obviously, a college degree is not necessary to be qualified for the presidency, but it does say something about your ability to see things through. I am not sure that the country will elect someone who dropped out of college because it may have too hard for him or for some other reason to be determined.

Let's face it: the left will do anything to smear a good GOP candidate, they will attack one at a time. Heck, not that both sides don't do it to some degree, the left has ruined many before they could even get started. How about finding a way to make sure Mitch D didn't run last time or trying to claim Perry was gay, mainly because he was part of the cheer squad while in college.

Did Walker at least serve in the military? The first Iraq war was going on when he dropped out of college.

All volunteer army by then. Keep digging though. I hear he might have had a nasty case of toe fungus when he was fourteen. Thanks for drumming up support.

Pssst. He has a definite case of male pattern baldness.

They may not be his children. Rumor is Tonette was awfully friendly with that milk man, for a period of time.

Walker volunteered for the army? I don't find that anywhere. Walker could have enlisted and helped out with the Gulf war, but I don't think he did.

Few politicians matched Perry's animosity toward gays. That's why the rumors started. He told returning gay Iraqi vets to live in another state if they expected the audacity to marry their partner in Texas.

Walker is also anti-gay.

Quote:
Walker went on to say he was defending the state's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. He said he swore an oath to uphold the constitution and he supports "marriage between one man and one woman.
Scott Walker outlines abortion, gay marriage positions in letter

My Dad did not have a college degree and he worked his way to be the Director of his organization. Half of the senior management in his company of his generation did not have college degrees.

And he will be the first to tell you that if he were working in that same organization today, he would not advanced past the desk clerk. Times were different then, he lived in a time when college grads weren't that common and many people didn't advance past high schools.

Yes, Truman didn't have a college degree and that was a long time ago. Truman probably didn't even know how to use a computer, heck he probably didn't know what a computer was. Does that mean that the shortcomings of yestergenerations are acceptable now? Hardly.

If you are to ask the populace if they will vote for a President who has no college degree, I think the vast majority will say he/she will have to be an extraordinary candidate for them to look past it.

And if you ask them if Scott Walker is that extraordinary candidate I'm sure the vast majority of them will chuckle and say No.

But hey, if he's the GOP's best hope then go for it!

My take: don't kid yourself, Jeb Bush is the party's candidate. All this sideshows are just noise, nothing more.

In a nation of over 330 million people, less than a dozen of them become nominees for the Presidency. Most of those nominees have no chance at all of ever winning, so, in essence, the race boils down to only 2 people.

By any measure, those 2 people have to be very extraordinary just to get on the ballot.

Rightly so. The presidency of the United States of America is an extraordinary job that always places extraordinary demands on the person who wins.
