It is surprising. You've got the war, the neg hype about the economy, Bush, Hope/Change/Yes we can and the Messiah™. Instead of walking on water he's barely keeping his head above it.
What makes this even more sweet is Hillary would've likely been at +12% with the needed states locked up if the dems really had counted all the votes. You can't make up a better script

I agree. If this is still tied after both conventions I think that is bad news for the Dems.

I don't think they reflect the DNC just the electorate becoming better acquainted with Obama.
